ALEC calling the shots

Eric Went’s April 6 letter, “Government for the rich,” inflamed me and inspired me to write. “Our judicial branch is supposed to be our great equalizer.” Well, guess who is paying for these appointments?

The 99 percent need to use their computers and do the research. Go to, and go from there. By the way, Monsanto is a big contributor of theirs.

Arm yourselves with ammunition, with knowledge, and then strike with our best and only weapons: a pen and voter’s pamphlet, and a telephone to contact corporations you deal with. Express concern about their involvement with the American Legislative Exchange Council. When corporations see their bottom line being threatened, they listen – believe it or not.

Find out for yourselves what ALEC is, who started it and what their agenda is. It doesn’t look good for us.
